BMW X6M Design Edition announced

BMW has announced a special edition X6M model, featuring the iconic M Sport stripes. Details and pictures here

BMW has announced a limited run of X6M Design Edition cars, which features a range of M Sport-inspired optional extras, as well as some colourful M Sport stripes.

Although it is effectively a collection of special M Performance upgrades, the X6 M Design Edition is being offered as a numbered special edition. Upgrades include a fully customised interior, with Black Merino leather seats, and a contrasting red stripe along the dashboard and instrument pod.

Externally, the X6 has received a set of 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels. There is a choice of three colours: Alpine White, Sapphire Black or Melbourne Red metallic – all with those iconic stripes. Mechanically, the car has not changed from the standard X6M, which features a 547bhp twin-turbo V8.

Just 100 will be built, but the model will not be offered in the UK. If you were determined to own this model in the UK however, it would be possible to spec a car that is almost identical, using parts the M Performance catalogue.
