Bentley Continental GT (2011-2018) review – prices, specs and rivals

A great grand tourer but definitely no sports car

Evo rating
RRP
from £140,300
  • Bespoke interior, plenty of performance, refinement and comfort
  • Heavy, cheaper V8 is better than W12, tech now outdated

Prices, Specs and Rivals

The Bentley Continental GT starts out at £140,300 for the basic V8 model, this jumps up to £150,500 for the W12. As you might expect, pricing varies dramatically depending on what sort of options you fit to the car.

20-inch wheels come as standard, as do air springs, LED taillights, a choice of 17 hide colours and colour splits and cast-iron brakes. Options include things like sports exhausts, a full Naim audio system and carbon ceramic brakes.

Rivals to the Continental GT include the likes of the BMW M6 GranCoupe, a Maserati GranTurismo Sport, the Aston Martin DB9 and of course, the Porsche Panamera. The DB9 definitely bests the GT dynamically, as does the BMW, but its the Aston Martin that can only come close to the bespoke feel the Bentley offers.

Alternatively, the Ferrari F12 Belinetta is a much more bonkers consideration, or if you're in the market for something even bigger, then Ferrari's GTC4 Lusso could be a fairly ostentatious alternative.
