Alpine A110 Légende GT and A110S Colour Edition revealed

Alpine diversifies its A110 with two new models and a bespoke Atelier Alpine personalisation service

Alpine has revealed a pair of new special editions, and announced the commencement of a new personalisation scheme called Atelier Alpine. Called the A110 Colour Edition and Légende GT, these two new models widen the remit of the current A110, while giving their owners the chance to obtain a more distinctive version at either end of the spectrum.

As the standard car already does so well, the A110 Colour Edition references Alpine’s storied heritage with the Sunflower Yellow hue, a contemporary reimagining of Juane Tournesol – the solid, non-metallic colour popular on Alpine models throughout the ’60s and ’70s. The A110S’s 18-inch GT wheels, translucent tail lights and new inserts in the headlights complete the exterior updates.

Inside, the Colour Edition goes down a slightly more subtle route, contrasting subtle grey stitching on the black Dynamica-trimmed Sabelt bucket seats, with a yellow twelve o’clock marker on the steering wheel. Under the bright skin, the A110 Colour Edition model is based on the upgraded A110S mechanicals, so it picks up the higher 296bhp-tune 1.8-litre turbocharged engine, plus the A110S’s slightly firmer chassis set-up. This is not the only Colour Edition model planned by Alpine either, with a yearly special edition model in a different colour palette planned each year.

At the other end of the spectrum is Alpine’s A110 Légende GT, an even more luxurious take on the standard Légende. To suit, the Légende GT is available in three subtle hues, including a bespoke Mercury Silver finish, offset with pale gold detailing on the wheels and badging. Inside, the Sabelt buckets are trimmed in a bespoke amber brown leather, while Alpine has also fitted a central armrest for some form of interior storage. The Légende GT’s lesser 247bhp output powertrain specification, and the more supple standard A110 chassis tune only accentuate its GT credentials.

Alongside these two special editions, Alpine has also revealed its Atelier Alpine personalisation service, giving customers an option of a further 29 exterior shades, plus three new wheel finishes for the existing designs, and new brake caliper finishes. Atelier Alpine will expand its range of optional finishes and treatments in future too.

The Colour Edition is able to be ordered now and will be available through to the end of 2020, while the Légende GT is able to be reserved via the Alpine owner’s app. Specific UK pricing has not been revealed, but first customer cars of both special editions will be delivered from summer this year.
