Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce now on sale in the UK

'Warm' Alfa Giulia is available for order in the UK

Alfa Romeo has announced the new Giulia Veloce at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

The car features a bespoke 276bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and is designed to form a halfway house between the full-fat performance orientated Giulia Quadrifoglio and the standard Giulia models.

Now on sale alongside the more mundane Giulia options, the Veloce sits alongside the Speciale' diesel at the top of the cooking models range.

The car also gains a new four-wheel-drive system which Alfa calls its 'Q4' tech. The system allows up to 60 percent of torque to be sent to the front wheels when required, with rear-wheel drive remaining the norm during everyday driving. The whole system adds 60kg to the Giulia.

Also unique to the Veloce is its bumpers, glossy black trim, black leather and aluminium interior and its 'Blue Misano' paint scheme.

Priced at £37,935 the Veloce is priced right at the juggular of the Audi A4 2.0 TFSi Quattro S-Line, its closest competior on specification and performance.
