Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario revealed

Limited-run Giulia and Stelvio models mark 100 years of Quadrifoglio with more power, a new differential and design tweaks throughout

To celebrate 100 years of the Quadrifoglio nameplate, Alfa Romeo has launched the limited-run Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario. Building on the standard cars, both receive a power bump, drivetrain tweaks and a raft of design alterations reflecting their special-edition status inside and out. Appropriately, Alfa Romeo will build just 100 examples of each.

Unveiled a century since Alfa Romeo’s four-leaf clover motif made its debut at the Targa Florio with the RL Corsa, the new limited-run cars feature numerous commemorative nods throughout, including gold ‘1923 - 2023’ Quadrifoglio badges on the front wings.

These models go beyond new badges though, with Alfa Romeo applying knowhow from the Giulia GTA to develop a new mechanical limited-slip differential. The Giulia Quadrifoglio’s standard electronically controlled unit has been a sticking point for us, but the use of a proper mechanical LSD might just solve those issues.

Putting that differential to good use is an uprated 513bhp V6, providing a 10bhp uplift for both models and falling just 20bhp shy of the flagship Giulia GTA. Torque from the 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 is capped at 442lb ft in order to preserve the eight-speed ZF gearbox.

Performance figures haven’t been disclosed, but don’t expect much - if any - improvement over the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s 3.9sec and 3.8sec 0-62mph times. Top speeds are also unlikely to differ, standing at 191mph and 176mph for the base saloon and SUV respectively.

Inside, it’s black Alcantara and leather as usual, but unique gold stitching, badging and a new carbonfibre finish for the instrument panel, transmission tunnel and door panels set the limited editions apart. The dashboard also features a stitched ‘100’ Quadrifoglio logo.

Elsewhere, Alfa Romeo will equip each example with new adaptive LED Matrix headlights, trademark Quadrifoglio five-hole wheels (19-inch for the Giulia and 21 for the Stelvio), gold brake calipers, an Akrapovich exhaust system and exposed carbonfibre for the grille and mirror caps. Buyers will be able to choose from three colour options; Rosso Etna, Verde Montreal, and Nero Vulcano.

Only 100 examples of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario will be produced, with pricing yet to be confirmed.
