Geneva 2011: Alfa Romeo 4C video

Using an evolution of the composite chassis found in the KTM X-Bow, the new 4C concept is set for production sometime in late 2012 - pictures and video

You can see the influences from the 8C supercar, but this concept previews the all carbon fibre chassis tub, designed and engineered by Italian firm Dallara. Performance claims are impressive, with a 0-62mph time of less than five seconds, and it should easily hit a top speed of over 155mph.

Said to be the spiritual successor to the iconic Duetto Spider, the new car will cost around £38,000 when it hits showrooms at a similar time to Alfa’s 159 replacement, the Giulia.
